Final Day in Doha

Time to pack the bags and leave them at the hotel for collection on the way to the airport tonight.

I am very much looking forward to the final day of this memorable event. This really has me reflecting on the involvement of students in a conference. The kids have focussed educators in a way that no keynote or reflective activity ever could. Here are the comments I have posted on the conference ning:
I want to add my comments to the many positive ones about this conference. This has been a truly memorable experience for all of us and I am honored and feel privileged to have been a small part of it. From the outset there has been an underlying belief in the people here that what we are all doing is significant and that a small, committed group can change things in our communities and, ultimately, the world.
I work with international schools in Hong Kong and often feel very alone trying to get the word out that we can do the sorts of things that we have been doing here for the last 2 days. It has been a great experience for me to be surrounded by positive and like-minded people.
I know that when we return to our own schools and systems we will run into more frustrations and roadblocks but Julie and Vicky, with their hard work and clear vision have shown us that to aim big is possible and they have been an inspiration to all of us.
Enough for now as it is time to prepare for what can only be a fantastic final day.
Congratulations to all of you. We have all come away winners from this.
Let’s continue to dream big!
