Put Your Students in Awe of the Universe

Thanks to a post on a list by Stephen Loosley, I went to the NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day site. I couldn’t help but think what a great inspiration to the curiosity of students looking at one of these pics on the EWB in the classroom each day might be.
If you have never been to this site just have a look at something like this pic to get the discussion going.
The site is not, however, just about pics of the stars and the planets as this video of Matt Harding doing his dance around our own planet shows.
Have a good browse through the most recent table of contents and choose a few to put on the projector in your classroom. Each one has an explanation after it so it makes it easy to answer any of the questions from the sure to be curious kids in the room.
