Wow! what a tough ride Lantau is. Glad I went but can’t say I did too well on the tough hills on the climbs over the pass and up to the Big Buddah. They are hard work at the best of times. The narrow roads and buses trying to get past don’t make it any easier either. A few flat tires were had but the riding out along the beaches of Mui O and Pui O made it worthwhile.

Can’t say I derived the same enjoyment from the view at the top of Nong Ping. Will have to let the imagination work on what it might be like on a clear day.

For any early cyclists on that side, be aware that the Starbucks there does not open till 10.00 am!
