The International Baccalaureate and 1:1 Technology Use

Have been doing a bit of reading and thinking about the IB Diploma that so many Hong Kong International Schools in particular are picking up as their main form of certification for University entrance and the growing number of schools here picking up on 1:1 Technology use programs. I was wondering if the IB Diploma was more compatible with the “side trip” learning model that David Warwick advocates during his address to the K12Online conference in 2006? address

I really can’t comment on this as I have never taught the IB Diploma but will be very keen to get someone along to a Learning Through Technology Seminar to speak to the Hong Kong group about the IB and its suitability for technology use.

Any comments that readers have about the suitability of the IB PYP, MYP or Diploma for incorporating the use of 1:1 technology and “side trip learning” are most welcome.
